We are proud to announce that AXA XL has been awarded the 2023 Best Employer: Excellence in Health & Well-being Award by Business Group, among only 50 other large employers in the US across a wide variety of industries.

Awarded annually, the Business Group on Health Awards assess applicants on their approach to leadership, strategy and culture; holistic well-being, including mental health, financial security, physical health equity; and metrics and evaluation. This is the second consecutive year that AXA XL has received this award.

Ellen Kelsay, Business Group on Health president and CEO, said, “In the face of ongoing challenges, the award winners all enhance the lives of employees and their families through their innovative health and well-being programs. In addition, their leading-edge programs address critical issues such as health equity, social determinants of health and affordability, with an eye toward better health and well-being outcomes for everyone.”

AXA XL has sought to assert itself as a leader in employee benefits and well-being. Earning this award in back-to-back years serves as recognition of those efforts and our commitment to our colleagues’ holistic health. We are proactive in our strategy to ensure we are supporting you, and this past year was no exception. In just the last 12 months, we made a number of enhancements to our benefits package that we are extremely proud of, including:

Enhanced family-friendly leave policies

To support colleagues’ work/life balance, AXA XL expanded our offerings to grant colleagues time off for fertility treatment and partner leave. We also enhanced our bereavement policy and added a brand new grandparent leave.

More inclusive fertility benefits

AXA XL eliminated many restrictions within the health plan that obstructed access to fertility benefits, including eliminating the need for an infertility diagnosis. We also expanded coverage for egg freezing and donor sourcing.

New FREE virtual physical therapy

AXA XL partnered with Sword to offer a cutting edge solution for colleagues (and eligible dependents) looking for a flexible physical therapy solution. Users engage virtually with a licensed therapist to stay active, reduce pain, and become more physically resilient. Sword also includes a free partner program, Bloom, for those with female anatomy looking for support with pelvic health.

Additional mental health support through Lyra

You don’t have to struggle alone when dealing with a mental health concern; Lyra offers access to guided self-care, coaching, and a large network of mental health providers with proven results
