If you still have funds in your 2021 Health Care, Limited Purpose FSA or Dependent Day Care FSA, you must use your funds and submit all of your 2021 eligible expenses for reimbursement by March 31, 2022.

  • For the Health Care or Limited Purpose FSA, if you have leftover funds subsequent to the March 31 deadline, you may carry over up to $550 for use toward 2022 claims.
  • For the Dependent Day Care FSA, unused funds from 2021 will automatically carry over for use in 2022. Unused funds after 2022 will be forfeited. Note: The carryover amount does not contribute to the IRS annual contribution limit ($5,000 for married couples filing jointly and $2,500 for couples filing separately).
